Sponsored by the Friday Harbor Elementary School and the San Juan Island Library, the Reading Buddies Program matches adult volunteers with elementary school students in need of reading encouragement. Volunteer reading buddies should be willing and able to commit at least 1/2 hour per week during the school year to work with their student reader either at the elementary school or at the public library.
